Explain the Problem

WHAT TO DO: Women want to know what’s wrong with their vehicle but are interested in an explanation in a language they can understand. If possible, showing them goes a long way.

WHAT NOT TO DO:
They will not respond well to having technical lingo thrown at them in the hopes of making a sale.

 

Talk to Them

WHAT TO DO: Good communication is key to keeping your female customers and growing your customer base. If you treat your female customers well, they will not only keep coming back, but they will also recommend you to their friends and family. Treat them poorly and they will make sure everyone knows it.

WHAT NOT TO DODon’t ever ask them if they need to go home and talk to their husband or if you should call him. This will only make them think that the problem is something they would never understand, and they will feel insulted.

 

Finally, Develop a Relationship

Women want to develop a relationship with your business where they feel heard and know that you are there to help them make the best decision about their vehicle. You should always ask them if they have any questions and really listen to them.
